The city of Ganja is located on the north-eastern side of the Lesser Caucasus, on the Ganja-Gazakh plain, on both banks of the Ganja River. The distance between Ganja and Baku is 375 km.

According to Decision No. 136 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 18, 1988, Ganja city was declared Ganja State Historical and Cultural Reserve.

In addition to large parks such as Goygol National Park, Khan Bagi, Heydar Aliyev Park, Galaba Park, Railwaymen Park, Semani Park, Fuzuli Park, Istiklal Park, there are other small parks and alleys in the city.
